New energy saving helpline launched

Energy companies might be pushing their prices up as winter sets in, but Green Energy UK has responded with a new phone line to help consumers cut their bills.

The new energy saving helpline is available to everyone and promises to give good practical advice on how to save energy and money during winter.

The idea behind the helpline is to offer individuals tailored advice based on the type of home they live in and the amount of energy they use.

Liz Bell, a member Green Energy UK’s customer service team will be one of those giving the public advice. She explains: “We’re not telling people to switch everything off and sit in the dark. There are many simple ways homeowners can save energy without making big changes to their lifestyle.

“Every home is different, so to maximise the potential of energy saving, we supply specialist advice that is just for you. Homeowners can make a real difference in reducing carbon dioxide emissions as well as helping the nation’s fuel resources go further simply by reducing their energy use. Of course by saving energy people will also save money on their bills.”

The freephone helpline is 0800 783 8851 and is available to everyone in the UK.
