100GREEN RANKED AS A TOP ECO-PROVIDER BY WHICH?

Which? endorses 100Green for its green energy credentials for the third consecutive year.

Which?, the UK’s consumer champion, has rated 100Green as a top eco-provider of energy in the UK. 100Green (the new name of Green Energy UK since July this year) is the only UK energy supplier that supplies its customers with 100% green gas and renewable electricity. Founded in 2001, 100Green championed the supply of green energy to homes and businesses across the UK, long before the Net Zero targets were set.

It is the third consecutive year that Which? has endorsed 100Green as an eco-provider.

The Which? assessment of an energy companies’ green and sustainability credentials covered a range of factors including the % of green gas sold to customers, a company’s direct contracts with renewable generators and offering its customers a time of use (TOU) tariff. 100Green does not produce its own green energy, but through the use of power purchase agreements with many small green generators and producers, 100Green facilitates green gas and renewable electricity into the UK market.

Doug Stewart, Founder and Chief Executive said:

“At 100Green we are delighted to be Which? endorsed. After being regarded for so many years as a maverick outlier in the UK energy market, we are very pleased that Which? - a powerful and independent champion for the UK consumer - continues to give us their endorsement. It underlines our work over more than 20 years to pioneer the supply of green gas and electricity to British households, whilst striving for the highest level of customer service. We are a small energy supplier so it’s great to be ranked by Which? alongside larger suppliers.”

100Green has three green energy tariffs – Sparkling (standard), Tide (its Time of Use Tariff) and its ultra-green EKO tariff, which is independently verified by EKO (a European NGO); 100Green’ EKO tariff adheres to additional sustainability criteria such as protecting bird and fish migration paths.

100Green customer service staff, who work from the company’s head office in Ware in Hertfordshire, deal with all customer queries and provide advice to 100Green customers on energy saving and managing the payment of their bills.
