There are many ways to help protect the UK's beautiful and diverse countryside and every now and then we like to share some of the practical ways that we can do our bit.

Our head offices back onto a unique wetlands which is managed by the Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust so we know only too well, the value of these natural wildlife habitats

We also know that for many of our customers, GEUK is not just an energy choice, but a choice that reflects a sustainable lifestyle. So when we heard that the Wildlife Trust are running an appeal to purchase another nature reserve close by, we thought we'd support them by donating and sharing the details with our local customers.

About the Astonbury Wood Appeal

Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust are currently running an appeal to raise £104,000 by July 2021, to buy and care for the wood, just outside Stevenage. Astonbury Wood is an ancient woodland, bursting with wildlife and is a really special place to visit. They want to buy the long-term lease for the site and care for it so that it remains a great place for wildlife and for people to discover and learn about the importance of ancient woodland and the wildlife they support.
