Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction from the Chairman Doug Stewart

It continues to be a priority for Green Energy (UK) Ltd (trading as “100Green”) to ensure that we trade ethically, source responsibly and work to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking throughout our organisation and in our supply chain.

Organisation structure and supply chains

Green Energy (UK) Ltd is the only trading company in our company group.

We are committed to acting ethically in all of our business practices and this includes ensuring that there is no scope for modern slavery in our supply chains. Where we choose which companies we work with, we follow a strict process to ensure standards are met.

Policies in relation to slavery and human trafficking

We have appropriate policies in place that underpin our commitment to ensure that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. We continuously review and update all our policies.

Our Anti-slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains. We also have the following policies in place relevant to modern slavery, which we continuously review and update:

  • Training Policy
  • Supplier Management Policy
  • Risk Management Policy, and risk register
  • Audit Policy

All Green Energy (UK) Policies are reviewed on an annual basis or following any major changes.

Due diligence processes

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we have in place systems to:

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
  • Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Protect whistle blowers.
Risk assessment and management

Green Energy (UK) has a mature risk management process, with regular reviews of the risk register. As a business selling UK-generated power, we are satisfied that the risk of slavery or human trafficking within our own business or within our supply chain is low. We conduct regular checks of our supply chain to confirm that this is still the case.

Training on modern slavery and trafficking

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide regular training to our staff.
