100Green is the new name for Green Energy UK (GEUK), the independent energy supplier which has been supplying green energy to residential and business customers for over 20 years. 100Green is still the only energy company in the UK to supply 100% green gas and renewable electricity to its customers.

Doug Stewart, 100Green’s Founder and Chief Executive said: “Doug Stewart, 100Green’s Founder and Chief Executive said: “Over the past couple of years, we have focused on helping our customers and managing our business through very tough market, social and economic conditions. Whilst we are not yet through the woods, but as we emerge from the difficulties experienced, we felt that the time was right to make the change.

We are now in our third decade of business but rest assured, our business remains true to our original values – focused on customer service, helping our customers where we can and wholly committed to the environment and green energy supply. Switching to green energy supply is still one of the easiest ways for people to support the growth of renewable energy and the green economy in the UK.”

100Green will continue to have the same green energy tariffs – Sparkling (Standard Variable and Fixed Term), Tide (our Time of Use Tariff) and our ultra-green EKO tariff, which adheres to strict sustainability criteria and is independently verified.

100Green does not own any energy assets so we will continue to buy our energy directly from renewable electricity generators and green gas producers – sourced from wind, solar, biomass, anaerobic digestion and hydro.

100Green customer service staff, all of whom are based at our head office in Ware in Hertfordshire, will continue to deal with customer queries and provide advice to 100Green customers on energy saving and managing the payment of their bills.

Doug Stewart added: “A catalyst for the change of name was also to avoid confusion in some quarters on what the GEUK acronym stood for, and the need to update and improve our website for our customers. Supplying 100% green energy to our customers, along with first class customer service– is what our business is all about. The 100Green name focuses on our unique offer to customers, concisely summing up what we do: supplying 100% green and renewable energy – green and simple.”

As part of the name change, 100Green has launched a new website – www.100green.com

Notes to Editors:
In 2022, the company came first equal in the Which? survey of green energy suppliers and received a “gold” rating from Uswitch for sourcing the most renewable energy. In 2023, the company was once again ranked by Ethical Consumer magazine as a 'best buy' of renewable energy in the UK. Its Tide time-of-use tariff, is presently unavailable for new customers.
