ABOUT 100% GREEN GAS

100 Logo

The UK’s only 100% green gas

We’re the only company supplying 100% green gas to both our domestic and commercial customers.

Anaerobic Digestion Symbol

How its made

Our green gas is created via a process called Anaerobic Digestion where bacteria breaks down organic matter — such as animal manure, wastewater biosolids, and food wastes — in the absence of oxygen.

Sustainable

Anaerobic digestion is a truly sustainable process. After all - humans and animals will always produce waste!

Our green gas is helping to fill up the grid with sustainably generated energy.

Independent
Generators

We champion the production of energy in the UK and are always looking for commercial, independent generators of green gas.

We will also buy your excess renewable energy if you have a domestic installation.

Green certification

Every kWh of green gas is certified as green and can be traced back to where it was generated. This verification is carried out, not by us, but by The Green Gas Certification Scheme.

100% GREEN ETHOS

A Farm Carrying Out Anerobic Digestion

We’ll only grow as fast as our green credentials will allow us to.

Yep, we’re are the only company supplying 100% green gas to both our domestic and commercial customers. We know it’s not easy being green and it’s true that the certification process comes at a cost.

But it’s important to us that we only offer the real deal - so you’ll never find us cutting corners or growing any faster than our 100% green ethos will allow us to.

A LITTLE GREEN GAS STORY

One generator we have worked with is predominantly a farmer, so they use their own organic material to feed their Anaerobic Digester.

The green gas (biomethane) is put into the national grid, just the same as natural gas that is used to heat our homes. They also use the ‘digestate’, (the residue) left behind after the gas has been extracted, as fertiliser on their own land.

And if that’s not enough; the CO2 that is removed from the green gas, is bottled up and sold to a local brewery to carbonate their drinks!
