In ranking 100Green as its number one energy supplier, alongside Octopus Energy, The Good Shopping Guide examined 100Green’s ethical impact on the environment, people and animals, and considered a range of criteria such as 100Green’s energy mix, its environmental reporting, its pollution record and whether or not it made political donations (it does not).

100Green customer service staff, based at its head office in Ware, Hertfordshire, deal with all customer queries and provide advice to its customers on energy saving and managing the payment of their bills.

In October 2023, Which? rated 100Green as a top eco-provider of energy in the UK, for the third consecutive year. And earlier this year, it was once again recognised by Ethical Consumer magazine as a 'best buy' of renewable energy in the UK. In 2022, all three of 100Green’s energy tariffs were classified “gold” in Uswitch’s green accreditation scheme. The company changed its trading name from Green Energy UK to 100Green in July 2023.
